Get your ‘art’ on at Crop A While…

Ottawa’s newest Scrapbooking store, Crop A While, opened in September 2013, after two years of planning and preparation. For their retirement years, Carole and Tom Fulton wanted to create a warm and relaxing place where crafters could exchange ideas, try new techniques and find the tools and products for their next paper craft and mixed media projects.

Crop A While is a combination of a retail store and a well-equipped work area for crops, classes and workshops. A ‘crop’ is a gathering of like-minded people creating scrapbooking, cards, mixed media projects while exchanging ideas and laughter.

Looking to develop your creative side? Crop A While has paper arts classes for beginners to advanced of all ages. The Fultons lead some classes, and Crop A While has a growing roster of new and accomplished instructors from Ottawa’s paper arts and fine arts communities. Each instructor brings unique experience and expertise to techniques and projects.

Crop A While carries more than 20,000 products, including cardstocks, embellishments (brads, buttons, stickers, ribbons, flowers, bling, etc.), paints, inks, markers, watercolours, colouring books, and tools for scrapbooking. The store also carries a wide range of tools and supplies for paper arts such as scrapbooking, card making, art journaling and mixed media projects.

Their location at 2297 St. Joseph Blvd in of Orléans is easily accessed from highway 417 or by public transit. Crop A While is open Tuesdays to Sundays. The work area can accommodate up to 17 people and is equipped for a variety of classes, workshops, crops and special events such as birthday parties.
